We used complementary research approaches with Brazilian women voters across every region of the country and across the political spectrum.
- Quantitative phase – new data offering a representative picture of trends among Brazilian women (2024).
- Qualitative phase – deeper insight into the subjective processes that shape these women’s political views (2023).
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Women in Dialogue is a narrative-building project that uses research and communication to create a shared language — building bridges and advancing a pro-rights agenda based on common ground among women with different political and ideological identities.
This project grew out of other Instituto Update initiatives:
– Eleitas (“Elected Women”), a study and series produced with Maria Farinha Filmes and Quebrando o Tabu.
– Feminismo em Disputa (“Feminism in Dispute”), a book published with Boitempo.
